In previous seasons, the Lahore Qalandars batsmen were in trouble due to Rashid Khan's quality leg-spin. However, the injury will prevent Lahore Qalandars from availing the services of the Afghanistan spinner. While Rashid Khan is unavailable for Lahore Qalandars this season, they lack the players to create backup in the spin bowling department. The team does not include experts in the field and relies heavily on part-time bowlers. Sikandar Raza and Dan Lawrence are expected to take over from Rashid Khan, while some emerging players are also likely to take over. Therefore, Lahore Qalandars spin bowling department is the weakest link in PSL 9. ,Dr Iqbal also chairs the Premier League Doctors Group and co-chairs the FA Medical Society.
