The IPC secretary briefed the committee on the Sports Crime Prevention Bill 2020, introduced by MNA Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan, and said the matter was initially referred to the Ministry of Law and Justice for legal opinion. The Ministry of Law believes that after the 18th Amendment, Parliament no longer has the power to legislate on sports issues. It also recommended discussing the matter with the Home Office.
